Home-Start Art

FRIENDS, staff and supporters gathered at the Courtyard for the closing celebration of Home-Start Hereford's 25th anniversary year. The event was a private viewing of work by artist and portrait painter Clare Hearne, whose exhibition Us Girls featured a quirky look at life from a female angle. The artist donated 10% of all sales of original pieces and 30% of sales of limited editions to the charity during the duration of the exhibition.
Previewing designs for the city's future

ESG Herefordshire held a special preview of its exhibition of the three shortlisted designs for its £200m new shopping and leisure destination, planned to open in Hereford in 2012. Among the guests at the Left Bank, welcomed by ESG chairman Clive Richards, were members of Herefordshire Council and the city council, who had the opportunity to view the trio of models and illustrations showing how each of the developers would convert the old livestock market into a buzzing retail and leisure quarter. The preferred developer will be announced in March.
Birthday surprise at Sandhurst

SANDHURST was the destination for Hereford woman Wendy Rutter-Butcher when her husband organised a surprise birthday celebration for her. Mrs Rutter-Butcher's husband Andrew Butcher is Regimental Sergeant Major at the Royal Millitary College and a host of Herefordshire friends and colleagues also travelled to Sandhurst to be part of the celebration. Mrs Rutter-Butcher was greeted by a Scottish piper as she arrived and guests were entertained by a quartet as they dined.
Open day celebrates expansion

CLIENTS and guests came from a wide area to join the partners at TaylorMade by Stanton, to celebrate the transformation of the ground floor of the company's premises in Monmouth. The event marked the end of 18 months' work at the James Street premises and provided the opportunity for everyone to enjoy a glass of bubbly and sample fine food prepared by Pavinee Taruschio and renowned chef Franco Taruschio. TaylorMade by Stanton is a family business, started in 2000 with a showroom in Longhope. The partners are: Tom Taylor, Sandy Taylor, Jeremy Stanton, Lorraine Stanton and Michael Michael is sales and development manager.
Society friends host pre-concert reception
